Rooted in a tradition of care and compassion, the Mission of CORA Services is to assist children, youth and families experiencing emotional, academic and social challenges, which impede their development and productivity. A private, not-for-profit service organization located in Philadelphia, PA, CORA Services provides an array of comprehensive professional services focused on prevention, intervention, remediation and referral assistance. CORA Services is a private, community based, nonprofit, multi-funded agency offering professional human services to children, youth, and their families in the Greater Philadelphia area. Founded in 1971 under the sponsorship of the Sisters of Good Shepherd, CORA’s focus remains on the at-risk population. Since its inception, the agency has developed a comprehensive range of services covering many professional disciplines. Each CORA program and service has grown in response to a demonstrated need in the community. Today, CORA’s staff serves children and families at CORA’s main location; in non-public, public and charter schools; in early childhood sites, recreation/community centers and client homes. CORA’s program are provided through three service divisions (Clinical Services, Community Services, and School Services Divisions), which annually serve close to 20,000 children and families.
